St. Giuseppe Moscati – Doctor of the Poor – (2007) The story of St. Giuseppe Moscati is retold in this beautifully made new film from Italy. It tells of the plight and struggles of the poor and homeless of Naples in the early 20th Century during a time of great inequality and poverty. Saint Giuseppe dedicated himself tirelessly to caring for the sick and forsaken, ultimately dedicating all of his possessions and sacrificing his very life in their service. Italian with English subtitles.

When will this movie play again?
This is a wonderful, uplifting movie. It is extremely well made. The acting is fantastic and the story holds you captive. I would recommend it to everyone. I am going to order the film from EWTN. By the way, I have no connection to this movie or saint. I just loved it.
I look forward to EWTN on Saturday nights. I love the movies about the saints and St. Guiseppe is one of my favorites. I have watched this movie twice already because it is so captivating. Keep up the great work EWTN. We need more of these movies.

I bought this movie from my church and have watched it twice. The movie is as good as any world famous movies I ever seen. I didn’t know saint Giuseppe Mostica before, but he is my favorite now. It is a kind of movie that would stay in your mind for awhile. We need more movies like this one, I agree.
