CatholicTV is airing several shows in honor of St. Francis of Assisi.
The Passion of Christ according to St. Francis , the Testament of St. Francis and The Canticle of the Creatures will air Tuesday at 11:30 AM, Wednesday at 9:30PM, Saturday at 4PM, and Sunday at 1AM.
These shows portray Francis’ great love of nature, and the reasons why he gave up an affluent life to serve God’s people.
Another great one which I have come to love: Catholic actor Leonardo Defilippis brings to life St. Francis, “the little poor man of Assisi” , in this inspiring one-man television drama. Well-known throughout the U.S. for his highly acclaimed dramas on lives of saints and the Gospels, Defilippis’ moving performance of St. Francis brought the film various awards. This will air on St. Francis’ feast day,
Saturday October 4th at 9:30PM and Sunday at 9PM
I am excited that the family networks are honoring this patron saint of peace, advocacy for the poor and all of God’s creation!
Peace, Shea
