Acts of Mercy – Filmed on location in Monrovia, Liberia, stories of the patients and their families unfold as they tell of their tumors, struggles with illness, and ridicule from their communities. Live operating room’s surgeries are highlighted in the documentary and patients are surgically transformed before our eyes with astounding results. Many people say this is the gift of an extreme makeover that really matters, because without the help of the Mercy Ship’s volunteer doctors and staff, many of these patients would die.
